I've just realized that I haven't posted anything since august, my bad.. and to think that a lot of things happened in August.. well, it's better late than never, so let's go.. here they are, in no particular order (may major major ms universe hangover pa ata ako, hahaha..)

~ major major answer blunder ~
Venus was an early contender at this year's Ms Universe pageant, and it showed throughout the pageant and its final moments when she was called to complete the final 5.. however, for some reason, her nerves betrayed her on the final minutes and she gave a very unorganized answer to her final question.. i don't think that the question was tough at all, i even think she got the easiest one of the batch.. while it's difficult to go through your life and choose a single mistake out of all the mistakes you've done, it still wasn't a tough question to answer. but 4th place isn't so bad, it's just a bit unfortunate coz she looked like she really had a shot at winning the crown.
~ hostage crisis ~
A lot has been said about how PNP have botched this job, and they sure did! But what's bothering me about this is not how it angered the HongKong residents, but how nonchalant some of the Filipinos were. People taking photographs at the site, preening and smiling, like it was some kind of tourist spot?? C'mon! That's just foul and disrespectful!
And how about some Filipinos reacting to how HK is reacting, like HK is being OA? I don't think HK would have reacted they way they have if they have seen that all the correct steps were taken to ensure people's safety, but it wasn't only them that saw how inept and unprepared the Philippine police were, the whole world did! And now HK is demanding answers and some Filipinos are saying that HK is being "over" in their reaction. Why is that?
Kelangan ba talagang mga tao pa sa ibang bansa ang magdemand ng better quality from the Philippines kesa mga Pinoy mismo? From what i can see some Filipinos are just shrugging their shoulders and saying "eh, Pilipinas eh, what can you expect?".. C'mon! Expect more! Demand more!
I think that's the issue here. People from other countries know what their rights are and what they're entitled to and they demand it from their government while in the Philippines, well, it's a bit sad that they seem to have grown complacent and have just gotten used to saying "eh, wala na tayong magagawa, ganyan na yan eh".. Change your mindset my dear fellow Filipinos! You deserve the best so don't settle for anything less!..
~ australian elections: the people are undecided ~
Jep and I went to the polls to vote and we were pretty excited kse it was our first time to cast a ballot here in Australia. I was surprised kse ndi pala computerized.. We were given 2 sheets of paper and we had to manually cast our votes and put the ballot in a ballot box.. Pero while the whole process was still pens and paper, the voting was a Saturday and results were out by Monday.. how was it that Australia was able to release those results in days while the Philippines, who now boasts of computerized elections, still took weeks to count the ballots?..
anyway, as of writing this, there's still no clear-cut winner because the independents are still undecided on who to support. it's looking like Jep and I will be going back to the polls again if they won't be able to resolve this.
~ medical transcription ~
passed my exams! :)
..ano pa ba? i think there were some more that i have missed, but atleast i was able to give my 2 cents worth.. :)
